My wife had "altitude sickness" and the manager treated her with great kindness and care. She and I were greatly impressed and grateful.
Hotel Andino was comfortable and had wonderful ambiance.
It was convienient to dining and the neighborhood felt safe to walk in after dark.
They did not have our reservation. The light continued to flash on all night after turning it off.
The location was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to help you with anything you needed. The owner spent over 2 hours with us our first morning in town helping us buy a new laptop since ours was damaged during our flight. When our tour to Cotapaxi was cancelled a staff member made arrangements for a driver to take us there and be our guide for the day. The place was clean and had hot water and wi-fi. There's a grocery store a few blocks away and the hotel let us store food in their fridge. We also stored a bag there for 3 weeks while we went to the Galapagos Island.
Friendly reception and desire to help. Extremely good value for money. Strongly recommended. Went out of their way to make our visit a success.
Bargain price. Not 5 stars but adequate and comfortable. Rooms very small but big enough. Good breakfast included. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Hot water only in shower not in sink. Had to shave cold.
Excellent breakfast, nice staff, good room and great location. A real bargain for a major city.
Very friendly, very helpful staff. Good location for New and Old Towns. Quiet Location.
Front door bell really annoying during night when guests arrive or return late.
As a 70-year-old woman, traveling alone in Ecuador, I had some doubts about my abilities for a successful vacation. However, Miguel and the Andino staff made me feel welcome and assisted me in many ways so that I felt comfortable and relaxed during my stay. I do not speak the language other than a few nouns and verbs, but Miguel speaks English well and was willing to help me with directions and suggestions for places I might want to see while in Quito. I stayed for two nights when I first arrived and went back there for two nights before returning to the us. The hotel is not posh by any stretch of the imagination, but it is clean, comfortable and very affordable for a solo traveler. The complimentary Breakfast was quite good and courteously served. I met a couple in another city after I left Quito, who asked if I could recommend a comfortable, affordable place to stay when they were going to Quito. I recommended The Andino Hotel without a moment's hesitation.
Miguel and staff were extremly helpful, location is just great, close to Mariscal lively atmosphere, but quiet and peaceful, supermarket close by, as well as trolley and movie theater (ocho y media). warmly recommended !!! good breakfast, clear and large rooms for a very good price.
The staff was so friendly and outgoing in accommodating me in whatever I needed. It was nice to start the day with a good breakfast. The room was nice and the staff kept it very clean. Will stay there again next week before returning home.
It would have been nice to have some heat and a room on the first floor, but the hotel was full when I was there.
The staff of the Hotel Andino were pleasant and made sure that our needs were met. The staff treated us like family.Breakfast was very good.
Hotel Andino is excellent value for money and Miguel is so helpful. Rooms are a good size and there is plenty of hot water. All of the staff are very helpful. Great central location within walking distance of restaurants, banks and supermarkets. Highly recommended.
Miguel was very helpful and we had a very nice stay at the hotel. Would recommend to other travelers.
This was my 3rd stay and I was quite happy with Miquel , and the airport services that are available.
Perhaps in the near future, the hotel will accept credit cards for payment. Every time I hold my room with my American Express card, when I leave they request I pay in cash???
